Selwyn Township is excited to share that the Ennismore Inclusive Playground Project is moving forward thanks to a significant Capital grant from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation!
This incredible milestone means Selwyn Township’s first barrier-free playground, located at Ennismore Waterfront Park, is becoming a reality. The project has also expanded through this funding to include accessible pathways to and around the playground, as well as additional site amenities such as accessible picnic tables, benches, and garbage and recycling containers. Together, these enhancements ensure the space is welcoming, comfortable, and usable for all visitors. The playground itself will feature accessible surfacing, adaptive play equipment, and sensory elements designed for children and families of all abilities to connect, play, and grow together.
A heartfelt thank you to Jude’s Joy, the Ennismore Optimist Club, and all the amazing community members and businesses who supported this vision.
